The fine print
We keep this short and in plain English. You share your email; we use it to send you the newsletter and nothing else shady.
When you subscribe, we store your email address. That is the only piece of personal information we ask for. We do not ask for your name, phone number, or location.
When you visit the site, our hosting platform may automatically log standard technical data — such as browser type, device, and approximate region — and basic analytics like which pages were viewed. This is aggregated to understand how the newsletter is read; it is not tied to your identity.
We use your email address only to deliver Fellow Creatures issues and occasional related updates from the publication. We do not send unrelated marketing, and we never sell, rent, or share your address with third parties for their marketing.
Subscriber emails are stored on our hosting platform’s database and are accessible only to the publication’s administrators. They are not published anywhere and are not exposed to other subscribers or visitors.
We keep your email for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, we delete your address from our list. We may retain a minimal record of the deletion for a short time to prevent the address from being re-added by mistake.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us at hi@fellowcreatures.space and asking to be removed. You can also request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
The site itself does not set advertising cookies. Any analytics used is aggregate and does not identify you personally. If we add tools that change this, we will update this page first.
Fellow Creatures is a general-audience publication and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect email addresses from children. If you believe a minor has subscribed, contact us and we will remove the address.
If we change how we handle data in a way that matters, we will update this page and note the new “last updated” date above.
Questions about this policy or your data? Write to hi@fellowcreatures.space and we will get back to you.
The short version: we collect your email to send you the newsletter, we guard it, and we never sell it. That’s the whole deal.
